ANSA is licensed to bathing assistance and is aimed to prevent and maintain continuous surveillance of people, under the responsibility of our ISN certified lifeguards and our partners. We have in our team ISN trainers and lifeguards as well as comrades with certifications for watercraft and other training that enable quality care, being all on the same side and coming back when we enter into the busy tides of the Azores.

Sport practice is a present concern of the organization because the lifeguard profession needs constant physical preparation. ANSA will support all partners who are athletes and participate in leagues, tournaments or sports participation. ANSA will take place each bathing season and year, water polo teams, lifeguards and swimming championships as create another in the future.

The purpose of bathers assistance is not only held in the waters in front of the beach, it is also on the coastline for bathing and no-bathing areas, and in guarded and not guarded areas. All these zones are part of the environment that surrounds the bather. So it will be our goal to collaborate on cleaning campaigns along the coastline and blue flag's marinas in order to help the authorities in sensitize that the environment is part of all our lives.
